One of the biggest challenges any internet marketer is getting traffic. With new marketing products being released every week, sometimes daily, it is hard to distinguish the good strategies from the bad. However, article marketing has long been one of the easiest ways to get traffic.
Some believe that you need to submit upwards of 20 or more a day to get real traffic. But that effort is not really needed to obtain results. These same folks believe that the more the merrier, but I would not confuse quantity with quality. A well written, informative article will go further for the efforts. Here are some of the other benefits of using articles as a website traffic method.
I have read of some folks who like to submit 20 or more in a day. That is not my belief because I want to make sure I am delivering quality versus quantity, especially if you are try to brand your name and website. But that method works fine if you are just looking to get visitors to an affiliate site. Here are some other benefits.
Once you submit your article and it is accepted it is on the web. These directories use the articles to get traffic and now your article is there to be read as well. If they have a free article directory, they usually offer their articles to be republished which means yours could be put on dozen or even hundreds of sites. Each one means another link to your site which raises your ranking and increases traffic.
Getting your article published on another websites home page is a great way to get more visibility. This can happen with other publishers looking for content and pursuing the article directories. You can start building rapport with them by adding some useful comments to their blog if they have one. When they see that you can add value to their site they will be more willing to use your content.
Remember that article submission is not just about how many you have out there, it much more important that they are readable and good quality. Focus your efforts on one niche at a time and write something of value. Once submitted you should start to see some traffic pretty quickly, at least that has been my experience.
The important thing to remember is that writing articles is a great way to increase your website traffic. Write with the reader in mind and focus on useful material. The better written it is the more you increase the chances of someone else publishing the content and driving more traffic for you.
