One of the most important aspects of blogging is writing a compelling blog post.In my opinion it is the most crucial.It does not matter if you are doing a great job driving traffic to your site,if the content is crap you will get nowhere.Fortunately you don’t need a degree to write compelling blog posts,it can be easily learned.

There are varied options for consideration in writing blogs ;focusing on fresh rich content that is well written and valuable to your readers ,reviewing various products to help buyers make informed decisions before making purchases or expressing your views and thoughts on news publications.

As I said earlier, developing skills for writing compelling posts is not rocket science, it all depends on one’s interest and determination. Below are some success tips for effective blog writing.

* Avoid writing very long sentences and paragraphs. They usually deter readers from reading everything - bear in mind readers usually lose interest within the first 20seconds .Short paragraphs incite further reading.

* Ensure that your titles are catchy enough to attract attention but at the same time search engine optimized.

* Stir desire - This very much depends on your goal. If you are promoting an affiliate product it is necessary to generate that compelling craving for that product and if it is for informational purposes only this principle still applies so that the reader sticks around for long.

* Don’t take it too serious - Most readers tend to relate better to blog with a less formal tone.

* Spice your blog with some humor. A little amusement makes reading exciting.

*Write like it counts. It gives an impression you should be taken seriously.

* White space is an asset.Use it It makes reading easier. Nothing is harder to read than a solid chunk of text.

* Make a copious use of bullet points.They do a good job in hammering down the salient points.

* Make use of subheadings - it makes it easier to get a gist of the content at a glance

* Choose your tone and keep it consistent throughout the blog.

* Include a desired call for action - It is important that you spell out the desired action you want your readers to take. There is always something you want your readers to do,purchase a product ,subscribe or leave a comment. A smart blogger does well to ensure that readers stick around for long and take an action.

* Always do a spell check before posting your blogs.Too many errors gives a doubtful impression.

* Don’t include any irrelevant points - Readers may miss your core points.

* Avoid the use of slang terms as some readers are easily offended. Make use of words that are easily understood by many people. Bear in mind that your readers come from different educational and cultural backgrounds.

* Use minimal abbreviations - too many makes reading difficult.

Blogging requires sincerity and dedication and in wanting to share ideas, thoughts and information these attributes should be felt in every blog post.Readers readily appreciate that.
